CURATOR STATEMENT
It was an honor to juror the first MFA Catalog published by I Like Your Work. As I reviewed the work submitted, I found myself inspired and excited about the future of the arts and also about the life the MFA graduates are embarking upon. Studying and making art is a life I love. It is filled with curiosity, dedication, and continual learning about ourselves and the world around us.
When selecting pieces for the exhibition, I wanted to choose work that not only highlighted skill but that also clearly presented a concept through the artists’ chosen medium.
I applaud all the artists who applied to the show and congratulate the artists on their MFA degree. I was inspired by the voices I heard and the view they gave us through their work. It was a privilege to review work and learn about these emerging artists.
